Wild Awake Woman Visualization

Are You Living in a Pinball Machine?

Have you ever felt like life is less of a journey and more of a game of pinball? You know, the kind where you’re launched into play, only to be tossed around, knocked sideways, or pushed off course by forces outside your control?

I’ve been reflecting on this feeling lately—this constant struggle to keep myself “in play.” Life flings us from one obligation to the next, from chaos to calm and back again. We scramble to regain control, to steer toward the goals we set with such clarity, only to feel like we’re always at the mercy of the game.

But what if we didn’t have to keep hitting the flippers, frantically trying to stay on track?

The Wild Awake Philosophy: Let Go of the Flippers
As a Wild Awake Woman, I’m learning to step back from the frantic pushing and start *listening* instead. What if the moments that knock us off course aren’t disruptions, but invitations? What if the ricochets and collisions are life’s way of showing us a new direction—one we hadn’t planned but desperately needed?

When we stop trying to control every moment and allow ourselves to pause, we open up space to reconnect with who we are. To ask:

– What feels like truth to me right now?
– Am I playing the game for myself, or for someone else’s rules?
– What happens if I just *let go*?

Letting Life Flow
Living Wild Awake means embracing life’s unpredictability, not resisting it. It’s about stepping off the relentless conveyor belt of self-improvement and diving into self-knowing. It’s letting the highs and lows of the pinball game teach us where we are being called to grow, rest, or pivot.

When we stop fighting to stay in play, we find clarity. We start making intentional choices, not reactive ones. We create a life that feels expansive, not confining—a life aligned with our true selves.

Your Invitation to Pause
As continue into this new year, I invite you to stop playing the pinball game on autopilot. Instead, pause and ask yourself:

– What’s one area of my life where I can let go of the flippers and see where the game takes me?
– What’s one truth I’ve been avoiding because I’m too busy bouncing from one thing to the next?

Let’s stop surviving the game and start *living* it—wild awake, intentional, and unapologetically ourselves.

If this resonates with you, hit reply and share where you’re ready to let go or lean in. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
