What Happens When You Stop Shrinking?

Last Friday, I attended the SuperiHER event, a women’s conference to empower and support women in business . Among the speakers, the conversations, and the connections, there was something unexpected that stayed with me—the Photo Booth.

I hesitated at first. A part of me thought, I’ll just take one and move on. But then I asked myself—Why?

Why not take up space?
Why not let myself be fully seen?
Why not enjoy the moment instead of shrinking from it?

So, I did. I took multiple photos. I played with different expressions, different poses, different sides of me. It wasn’t about getting the perfect shot—it was about allowing myself to exist, fully and unapologetically, in that space.

And isn’t that what so many of us need? Permission—not from the world, but from ourselves—to step forward, to be visible, to take up space in our lives the way we long to.

This is the heart of Wild Awake Woman. Not waiting for an invitation, not making ourselves smaller to fit into the moment, but expanding into the fullness of who we are.

Where in your life are you holding back when you could be stepping forward?
Where can you take up just a little more space?

Maybe it starts with a photo. Maybe it starts with a conversation. Maybe it starts with saying yes to something you would have once shied away from.

Whatever it is, I challenge you to give yourself that space.
