Wild Awake Woman Visualization

The Truth I Rationalized

You don’t need anyone’s permission to follow your desires. You’re allowed to want more, specially when it doesn’t make sense.

I still remember the moment I realized I had stuffed my desires just to belong.

I was sitting in my car in the grocery store parking lot, engine off, keys in hand, staring straight ahead like my soul had left the building.

Everything looked fine on the outside. I had done all the right things, checked the boxes, and played the part.

But inside?

I felt flat. I had checked off all the boxes putting me in a box. I had built a life so “together” that I couldn’t find me in it anymore.

And then I heard it. This quiet voice, so steady it stopped my breath:

“You’re allowed to want more.”

More meaning. More aliveness. More you.

Not more to prove anything. More because your life deserves to feel true.

That moment cracked something open.

And if you’re honest, I bet you’ve had one too.

That ache in your chest? The yearning you keep pushing aside until you “figure it out”?

It’s not foolish. It’s not selfish. It’s not extra.

It’s the most honest voice you’ve got.

But here’s what we do. We downplay our desires by talking ourselves out of them. We rationalize. We justify. We convince ourselves we shouldn’t want what we do.

We say things like:

“It’s not practical.”
“I should be grateful.”
“Maybe later.”
“I don’t really need it.”

And little by little, we let go of the things that make us feel alive.

We don’t need more clarity; we need to stop abandoning ourselves.

At Wild Awake Woman, we believe in the intelligence of longing. We trust the body more than the checklist. We don’t just chase clarity; we become her.

So here’s what I invite you to ask today:

What do I secretly want that I’ve been trying to justify away?

Not what’s smart.
Not what’s expected.
But what moves you.

Because the most dangerous thing you could do right now is wait for your longing to make sense to everyone else.

Ritual to Remember:

Tonight, find a moment of stillness.
Light a candle.
Place one hand on your heart, one on your womb.
Breathe deep.
Ask:

“What do I want, especially if it makes no sense?”

Write it down. Give it a name. And trust that it is exactly what you need—even if it terrifies you.

That want? That’s not the problem.

It’s the beginning of your return.

She’s not reckless. She’s remembering.

Are you ready to let her lead? If so, I have the perfect experience to attend.
