Enthusiasm as a Superpower

What makes life feel most alive to you? Is it the thrill of adventure, the quiet hum of a passion project, or the unexpected moments that surprise you with joy? For me, there is one thread that connects all these moments: enthusiasm. A word so vibrant it seems to radiate its own energy.

Enthusiasm is not just a feeling; it’s a dynamic quality, an invitation to engage with life’s endless possibilities. When we’re enthusiastic, the world doesn’t just exist around us—it pulses through us. We become active participants, co-creators, in the story unfolding. This is at the heart of what it means to live as a Wild Awake Woman: to lean into life’s richness with curiosity and courage.

I’ve noticed that enthusiasm has a rhythm. It’s not a constant, unchanging state but something that ebbs and flows. There are moments when it bursts forth, electrifying our every step, and times when it quietly simmers, waiting for the right spark. But regardless of its intensity, it has one powerful quality: it’s contagious.

When you’re enthusiastic about something, it shows. Your eyes light up, your voice rises, and the people around you feel that surge of energy. This contagious quality is a gift. Enthusiasm invites connection. It inspires others to see the world through your lens of possibility and to reflect on what makes them come alive.

Here’s what I’ve learned about experiencing life through the lens of enthusiasm as a Wild Awake Woman:

  1. It requires presence. Enthusiasm doesn’t live in the past or future; it thrives in the now. When we’re present, we notice the small details that make a moment magical.
  2. It’s fueled by curiosity. Asking, “What could this become?” or “What can I discover here?” ignites enthusiasm. Curiosity makes even the mundane feel fresh and exciting.
  3. It’s an act of courage. Enthusiasm means allowing yourself to care deeply, to dive in wholeheartedly. It’s vulnerable and bold.

At Wild Awake Woman, I believe that enthusiasm is a cornerstone of living a life that feels truly alive. It’s about embracing every opportunity to connect with yourself and the world around you. Whether it’s through bespoke experiences, transformative horse connections, or intentional conversations, we create spaces where enthusiasm can thrive.

As we step into this new year, I invite you to experiment with enthusiasm. Where do you feel its spark in your life right now? What would it look like to follow it—to allow that spark to grow into a fire?

For me, enthusiasm often arises when I’m creating—whether it’s designing new experiences for Wild Awake Woman, connecting with horses in transformative ways, or simply crafting words that resonate. These are the moments when I feel both fully myself and deeply connected to the world around me.

What are those moments for you? Let’s not wait for enthusiasm to find us. Let’s seek it out, nurture it, and trust it to guide us toward what feels most alive.
